Enhancing Property Values
- Initiated drive to raise funds to replace palm trees on A1A
- Prevented widening of A1A from 2-lane to 4-lane road from Boca Raton to Palm Beach
- Helped prevent changes to the zoning code that would allow taller buildings on the beach
- Advocated for the continued protection of the beach and natural dune erosion
- Initiated and Developed the Beach Area Master Plan to guide improvements and maintenance to the City’s public beach area and its A1A streetscape and amenities
- Worked with the City to add more traffic safety signals and traffic calming devices at dangerous intersections
- Created and received City approval for single family home design guidelines for the Seagate and North Beach neighborhoods
- Initiated and supported drive to revise construction ordinances city wide, resulting in increased compliance with permits, decreased noise and increased safety during the construction process
- Instrumental in developing the A1A Consensus Plan, approved by the City Commission, as part of the FDOT resurfacing/addition of bike lanes project
- Fostered the public/private partnership that resulted in the construction of the new beach pavilion
- Secured funding for new gazebos at Laing and Nassau streets on A1A
